The Alameda Estates area is bound by Kipling Street on the west, Alameda Avenue on the north, Addenbrook Park on the south, and Garrison Street on the east.
We began our association in 2003 to promote and protect the common interests of the neighbors, keep informed of current developments, investigate issues of area wide concern, and provide citizen input to appropriate governmental agencies.
Our annual dues are $10.00 per family membership. We meet yearly in June and then whenever necessary for any community updates.
Remember on the 1st and 3rd Monday mornings are meetings with Ward 3 representative, Sue King.
We gather at Sunrise, Sunset on Wadsworth and Florida at 8:00 a.m. to discuss current issues, actually whatever you want to talk about! On the 3rd Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., our other representative, Pete Roybal, meets at the cafeteria at New Hope Ministry, 875 S. Sheridan Blvd. Plan your week around these meetings!
On the 1st Saturday of each month, ( September through May), at the Arts/Cultural Center across from City Hall, is our town meeting held by Andy Kerr. It begins at 9:30 a.m. and usually has representatives from the city council, from CDOT, from the school board, etc. - and usually a special topic
On the 2nd Saturday of every month, at Green Mtn Presbyterian Church, is the monthly meeting for Ward 4. It begins at 9 a.m. and often has special programs with special representatives.
Go to lakewoodedge.com for updated city news/issues; Lakewood Edge is compiled by Charley Able.
You are invited to our annual Summer Picnic on Saturday, August 24th, at noon (12:00) in Addenbrooke Park. The association will provide the main dish and drinks. You may bring a salad, vegetable, chips, dessert, or appetizer to share in true "pot luck" fashion. You may also bring a blanket or chair to sit on. Location: We plan to meet in Addenbrooke Park under the shelter located closest to the softball fields and near the parking lot that enters from Kipling Street. There are a couple of cement tables and benches under the roof at this shelter. Plan to come and meet or get reacquainted with your neighbors. We invite you to enjoy our beautiful neighbor park, have lunch and share your thoughts and ideas. We look forward to seeing you there on August 24th at noon.
